This Program has as its Objective to facilitate and promote foreign trade in collaboration with the private sector, encouraging the establishment of systems and safety practices through high standards. 

  

What are the benefits of NEEC certification? Companies who gain NEEC certification are able to benefit from:

 

Héctor Silva, Tax Partner at Deloitte Mexico, discussed the "New Rules You Need to Follow to get a Certification" so that your company will not have to pay the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) on all of your Materials, Machinery and Equipment Imported Into Mexico to be used in our Maquiladora Operation.

 

This 16% VAT is one of the new requirements included in the 2014 Mexican Tax Reforms.

Michael J. Aguilar, the federal security director (FSD) at San Diego International Airport, McClellan-Palomar, and Imperial Valley Airports with The Transportation Security Administration discussed "TSA, Moving Forward with Risk-Based Security."

His presentation included discussion about the TSA Pre√ "Global Entry Program."

Further, Darren Dowell, Transportation Security Inspector (TSI) attended the meeting with Mr. Aguilar and spoke briefly about TSA's Cargo Inspection program.

Michael J. Aguilar Biography: 

In January of 2007, Mike Was Named Federal Security Director of the Year for Western Region Prior to coming to work for the TSA, Aguilar served 30 years in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a brigadier general. During his service, he flew helicopters from bases in California, Hawaii and Japan and served as the deputy commander U.S. Marine Forces South in Miami and commanding general of Fleet Marine Forces South. Aguilar is a graduate of the Naval War College and holds a Master's Degree in Strategic Studies and National Security Affairs and is a veteran of the Gulf War. He has the added distinction of being the first Hispanic of Mexican descent to reach the rank of General officer in the United States Marine Corps.
